Maxposure Limited Is A Leader In Digital Media

New Delhi, April 2026: Maxposure Limited, an NSE-listed company, has announced the publication of its international patent (WO 2026/053187 A1) under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), for an automated system designed to pause and resume wireless in-flight entertainment (IFE) during public address (PA) announcements.

The invention introduces a sensor-based mechanism that detects thermal fluctuations linked to human speech during onboard announcements. Upon recognition, the system automatically pauses wireless IFE content and resumes playback once the announcement concludes without requiring wired integration with the aircraft’s PA system or manual crew intervention.

Public address systems remain a critical element of in-flight safety, serving as the primary channel for operational updates, safety instructions and emergency communication. Regulatory frameworks, including those set by Civil Aviation Authorities, mandate that such announcements remain clearly audible and unobstructed by onboard entertainment systems.

The patented system aligns with this objective by enabling automatic interruption of passenger entertainment during announcements, supporting audibility and reducing the risk of missed safety information. It also addresses operational limitations of manual intervention, particularly in wireless IFE environments where synchronisation with PA systems may be limited.

The technology has been developed as part of AeroHub, Maxposure’s in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) platform. AeroHub includes both battery-powered and aircraft-powered solutions. While the battery-powered AeroHub enables flexible deployment, AeroHubPRO is a high-performance, aircraft-powered IFEC platform engineered to enhance passenger experience and support airline ancillary revenue. Designed for efficiency, AeroHubPRO requires no Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for installation, enabling rapid deployment through its compact, modular architecture while supporting high passenger loads and uninterrupted access to entertainment and services.

The implementation of the patented PA pause functionality is enabled through SkyView by AeroHub, Maxposure’s interactive onboard digital interface, that facilitates seamless content delivery and passenger engagement. SkyView acts as the operational layer through which automated controls can be effectively executed within the IFE ecosystem.

Commenting on the development, Sameer Sirdeshmukh, Vice President AeroHub and innovator of the technology, said, “In-flight announcements are a critical safety layer, but in increasingly digital cabins, ensuring they are not missed requires smarter systems. This innovation is an effort to create a seamless interface between passenger entertainment and essential communication, using automation to support both safety and operational efficiency.

The development reflects broader industry efforts to enhance passenger safety through automation, while ensuring alignment with evolving operational and regulatory frameworks.

The company clarified that the patent represents a technological concept and not regulatory approval. Any commercial deployment would require certification as an onboard system in line with Civil Aviation Authorities’ airworthiness requirements and global standards, including validation of system reliability, electromagnetic compatibility and integration within approved aircraft configurations.

Aviation regulators mandate that onboard electronic systems must not interfere with aircraft operations and that passenger announcements remain clearly audible at all times. Accordingly, the solution would need to undergo rigorous testing to meet requirements related to PA audibility, electronic device usage, and wireless communication protocols onboard aircraft.
